Such an important question. In this life, there are so many ways for you to potentially help and support yourself: connect with others, do the things you love, exercise, solitude, meditation, have a balanced diet and get enough sleep.....The list goes on and will be unique to you. Counselling could play an part an important part. Other related (yet no less important), questions may be "Is it the right time for me to engage in counselling?", and "What if I don't get on with the counsellor?" Perhaps arrange an initial session with me or another practitioner to see how it feels for you.
-Specific issues that counselling could help with include:
Bereavement and loss
Low self esteem
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
Pregnancy and birth
One last thing before you go....
Over and above my contact details, if you were to take one thing away from your time here, I truly hope that it is a sense thatyou are not the only one.
-It is estimated that 1 in 6 people in the last week experienced a common mental health problem.*
Even though, it may seem like it is only you that is going through personal hell, with everyone else looking fine while you feel the "odd-one-out"/ not "strong enough"..........this is NOT the case!
